A police report says that a 42-year-old man grabbed a child’s buttocks while the child was in the toy section of an Orlando Walmart on John Young Parkway.
According to the arrest affidavit, registered sex offender David Alexander Kelly grabbed the child’s buttocks again just moments later. A store loss prevention officer chased Kelly, according to WFLA, and a bystander eventually tackled him in the parking lot.
Kelly is charged with lewd or lascivious molestation of a child under 12.
Sheriff deputies also said that the groping was caught on the store’s surveillance camera.
Deputies confirmed that Kelly is a registered sex offender with an extensive criminal history. In 2003, he was found guilty on 67 counts of possessing of child pornography. Upon arrest, Kelly refused to speak with authorities and requested an attorney.
