Overseas Shipholding Group says three ships are bringing 50 million gallons of fuel to Port Tampa Bay this weekend.
Gas has been hard to find in Tampa Bay in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Milton but the situation should start to get better on Saturday.

Port Tampa Bay—which handles 40% of the state’s fuel, according to a press release from Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG)—reopens today, with three ships bringing 50 million gallons of fuel over the next three days.

The ships, per the release, are:

  • Overseas Anacortes Delivering 8.2 million gallons of gasoline and 4.8 million gallons of diesel by Saturday evening.
  • Overseas Nikiski Scheduled to deliver 6.3 million gallons of jet fuel, 3.9 million gallons of gasoline, and 2.3 million gallons of diesel on Saturday morning.
  • Overseas Tampa Returning with 12.6 million gallons of gasoline, arriving Sunday, October 13th.
More shipments are due next week, in the meantime, here’s how to find gas in Tampa Bay.
