Blue Line Residential is bringing new townhomes to Treasure Island, and one of the people behind the development company is kind of a big deal to area hockey fans.

The former Tampa Bay Lightning player whose goals essentially scored the Bolts their first Stanley Cup in franchise history, Ruslan Fedotenko, owns Blue Line alongside custom home builder Paul Wiezorek. The duo’s project on the beach is a speculative luxury waterfront townhome property with two three-story units (each of which has an anticipated listing price of $1.75 million), and it’s scheduled to break ground this month.

American Momentum Bank will provide all of the financing for the project at 255 110th Ave., a location not far from the John’s Pass inlet or public beach access.

“American Momentum has been easy to work with, has provided good communication and our personalities have aligned well,” Fedotenko said in a press release. “Everyone has been great to work with so far.”

In addition to 3,900 square feet of space, both townhomes will offer a three-car garage, four bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms and a game room, because why not? A “gourmet appliance” package, hardwood floors and an elevator are among their even fancier features, and they’re also expected to share a pool and two-slip dock on the Intercoastal.

“This is a high-end, luxury property with quality products and finishes,” said Wiezorek, who also owns the local Wiez Design & Construction, which will lead the build and design on this Blue Line project. “These units will be built to the same standards as the custom homes my company builds in Pinellas County.”

Wiezorek is an industry veteran with nearly 30 years of experience. He and Fedotenko, who announced his retirement in 2016 after 12 NHL seasons, had known each other for more than a decade before they decided to start Blue Line. The company’s name is a nod to the lines on architectural blueprints and hockey rink ice.

The forthcoming townhomes are slated for completion in 14 to 16 months. What’s more, Blue Line is working on plans for two other multifamily properties in South Tampa.
