How’s your Thursday going? If you’re living in between the Oak Grove and Riverbend neighborhoods in Tampa, then it might be a little wet.
Fox 13 is flying a helicopter over Hillsborough Ave between N. Rome Avenue and W. Hanna Avenue where a water main has apparently broken.
The break is just a few blocks from Oak Grove Elementary school, and images from the chopper show city workers standing in the rushing water trying to… I mean what the fuck are you supposed to do about that?

The water looks to be approaching the driveways and front doors of a couple homes around the area, too. BN9 says that parts of Hillsborough Avenue have closed, and Tampa Police are asking folks to avoid the area and asking nearby residents to stay indoors in case of downed power lines. The water also appears to have started running down the street and into the Hillsborough River.
The city’s water department is aware of the break, and CL has reached out to City of Tampa officials for comment.
UPDATE: City of Tampa officials have issued a precautionary Boil Water Notice is in place for residents and businesses within the area of I-275 to the east, Dale Mabry Highway to the west, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard to the south and Busch Boulevard to the north due to the water main break.
