The U.S is at war in Afghanistan, and apparently the latest offensive in Kandahar has been delayed.  Yesterday, White House officials fell all over themselves to dispute a New York Times story that reports that Afghan leader Hamid Karzai has already given up on the west's commitment to stay the course in his country;

Barack Obama announced over the weekend that the feds want BP to store some money into an escrow account for future claims.  Two Florida Republicans seized on the news to publicize that they called for that action first;

Charlie Crist held his own against two other gulf based governors yesterday on CBS's Face the Nation. One of them, Mississippi's Haley Barbour, thinks the media has given too much attention to a crises that hasn't hit his state;

And we want to let you know about a forum on the oil spill to take place Tuesday night in St. Petersburg.
