Was working at the computer this morning, at my house in NE St. Pete, with the sliding glass doors and windows open, with a beautiful breeze wafting through, when I heard the faraway buzz of car engines. It was 9 a.m., and racing had kicked off, and although I am not an auto racing fan, I really liked that sound. If I lived closer to downtown, I might like it less, but I would not complain. The Grand Prix is a groovy event, and folks should be glad it comes here. Will be blogging from the race this weekend. I'm breathless with excitment as well, because this afternoon, I'm going to get a face-to-face interview with none other than Gene Simmons.
