Whether you're a frequent visitor to the Salvador Dalí Museum, or a guilty local who's driven by it plenty of times but never followed through with your intention to visit, this weekend's ¡Viva Dalí! Hispanic Heritage Festival 2006 is the perfect opportunity to check out the museum's latest exhibits while enjoying an array of diversions on the museum grounds and in the adjacent waterfront park. Aside from the usual family-friendly arts and crafts activities, you can take salsa lessons, dance to the beat of Hispanic music with styles ranging from lively flamenco to Latin fusion, and celebrate Hispanic contributions to U.S. team sports. If you're willing to shell out a few extra bucks, you can taste a variety of Latin-infused food and refreshments provided by Red Mesa, Little Mexico Restaurant and Caribbean Café. And if the festival's only half as interesting as looking at Dalí's "The Hallucinogenic Toreador," it will still have been a day well spent. Sat., Oct. 14, 11 a.m.-8 p.m., 1000 Third St. S., St. Petersburg, outdoor events are free and open to the public, reduced museum admission is $7 for adults (free for children 12 and younger), 727-823-3767, www.salvadordalimuseum.org.
