Nicaraguan potters Enmanuel Maldonado and his wife Lisseth Chavaria return to St. Petersburg Clay Company this weekend for another one of their four-day workshops, which focus on how to build and use a rapid-fire wood kiln as well as kiln design techniques like slip-glazing, burnishing and sgraffito. The highlight is a Friday evening reception, at which the duo shows off some of their own exquisite earthenware pottery.
