Ditch the political masks and tired superhero costumes and don your best artist's garb for the ARTpool Halloween ARTparty. Dress up as a famous artiste (Van Gogh sans ear?) or as your own fabulous, just-waiting-to-be-discovered persona for a costume contest at the St. Pete art-gallery-cum-vintage-boutique. On-site photo shoots commemorate the evening, and prizes go to the best dressed — including a special award for the best Andy Warhol get-up. (Appropriately enough, since ARTpool — which doubles as headquarters for owner-photographer-designer Marina Williams — seems to take some of its inspiration from Warhol's Factory.) Amidst the revelry, view artwork by Nikki Devereux, Christen Loria, Nick Nicks, Grace Grover, Rob Neff and many others. Admission includes free drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Fri., Oct. 31, 8 p.m.-midnight, ARTpool Gallery, 919 First Ave. N., St. Petersburg, $10, 727-324-3878, artpoolrules.com.
