“1-2-3/Apple Tree” video
HERMAN DUNE
Herman Dune, a highly emotive and quirky anti-folk duo from Paris, has been around for a decade, but this might be the year they finally expand their following Stateside. The duo played a well-received set at SXSW in March, has toured with Juno soundtrack star Kimya Dawson and recently released the bouncy, poignant, folky, poppy and excellent five-song EP 1-2-3/Apple Tree. Accompanying the tune is a wonderfully lo-fi video featuring puppetized versions of the Dunes being chased by rabid fans à la A Hard Day’s Night. Posted June 24.
