This tiny gem of a show, held at the Tampa Museum of Art’s interim home base in West Tampa, where it awaits the construction of a new building downtown, argued eloquently that drawing and its trademarks — evidence of the artist’s hand, emotional and intellectual intimacy, casual sketchiness — have pervaded a variety of media. Highlights included Janae Easton’s whimsical sculpture of artificial flowers and delicately folded drawings, Valerie Hird’s animated videos of superhero renderings, and a bevy of works by locally based artists — Dominique Labauvie, Elisabeth Condon, Marie Yoho Dorsey — drawn from Tampa printmaking atelier Bleu Acier.
