Once again New World Brewery steps up and proves itself as a beer lover´s paradise. They have more than 30 beers on tap, plus a wide selection of bottles, cans, wines, ciders, nonalcoholic brews and ¨malternatives.¨ Whatever you´re in the mood for — import, domestic, micro-brew, stout, lager, IPA or pilsner — New World can hook you up. If you´re feeling really adventurous, give one of the Belgium Beers a shot — they´re potent enough to kick even the most seasoned drinker on his or her ass. Not sure what you want? Ask the Beer Oracles: Steve, Mike, Joanne and Joe will steer you toward the brew for you.
While you´re waiting for them to pour the Nectar of the Gods, be advised that our wise and wonderful readers also voted New World the home of the best jukebox. Like the beer selection, there is something for everyone on the juke. Rock, indie, country, jazz, blues, local, classic stuff and new releases — this box has it all. Last time we checked it out, the new Franz Ferdinand was nestled up next to Mike Ness´ Cheating at Solitaire, and the new Beastie Boys was sharing space with some homemade compilations. At any given time you can hear Billie Holiday segue into the Pogues, followed by Neil Diamond and Hank Williams Sr., who graciously give up the speakers for the Clash and Nappy Roots. And by the time you´re onto your next pint, Tom Waits serenades Ray Charles. The best part — the jukebox is always free. Which means you can spend more money on the beer.
