Good for you. Community-funded WMNF has known for well over a decade what the FCC discovered, to its consternation, just this year: that not everyone in America is comfortable with getting all of its news and tunes from one massive corporation, or even a couple of them. It's undisputed that 88.5 plays the most diverse selection of music available over Bay area airwaves (in fact, it's been both a blessing and a curse, depending upon one's tastes). Over the past year, however, the station has not only further broadened its stylistic palette, but also added a locally produced daily news hour to its informational programming. The level of support they've shown local music over the past 12 months is unprecedented, as well. www.wmnf.org
