The Museum of Fine Arts and its Contemporaries social boosters hosted the best variety of events in the art scene this past year, from porch parties on Thursday nights to artist talks to even a beach party indoors with national band Swim headlining. Plus there were intimate field trips to artists’ and collectors’ studios and homes. The museum is striving to bring in local artists and a younger demographic, according to the MFA’s Katherine Pill, assistant curator of art after 1950. Keep the good work, MFA.
