The WMNF Building Fund
God bless the good folks at MNF. They want a new building. Bad. They started putting on events for THE BUILDING FUND in, we can´t remember exactly … sometime in the fall of 1958. Thus far, they´ve raised $2-million toward the budgeted $2.3-million ($250K less if they pass on the Italian marble in the lobby). But seriously, the station´s drive for new digs has provided Bay area folks with some very cool shows, especially the tribute marathons that gather dozens of local bands to play the music of legendary acts (Beatles, Stones, Dylan, etc.). But how about the building, awready? Can´t some big fat angel step up and just write a check for the rest? If you haven´t done your part yet, go to www.wmnf.org or call Maggie DiPietra or Rob Constable at 813-238-8001. Every little bit helps.
