It didn’t instill a lot of confidence in the fanbase when the Bucs parted ways with head coach Raheem Morris after last year’s 4-11 debacle of a season and proceeded to go on a meandering hunt for his replacement during the off months. But good things came to those who waited, as the Glazers hitched their wagon to Rutgers head coach (and Bill Belichick disciple) Greg Schiano. The new coach is a discipline-first kind of guy, a real change following Morris’ “we’re all men here” laissez-faire approach. It’s too early to call the Schiano hiring an unqualified success, but after a week one victory against the favored Carolina Panthers we’re ready to believe again.
