Gulfport, a town brimming with creative talent, had offered little in the way of contemporary art until Portspace came along. The bungalow-housed gallery is the first fine art space dedicated solely to monthly rotating exhibits. Sleek but cozy, the spot has a porch for mingling and has brought in some notable artists in its first few months. Currently showing is From There To Here From Here To There, Sue Woodall-Metas’s playful graphic works exploring elements of pop culture. Exhibition runs through Oct. 14 and will be open during the First Friday Art Walk.
