OK, so “Miami Modern” conjures up that little Florida burg on the other coast. But the name makes a point: Until MM opened in Tampa’s Hyde Park, it seemed you’d have to head to some East Coast metropolis or other if you were interested in furniture and lighting by the likes of Philippe Starck and Artemide. But no more. This sparkling Hyde Park shop is a mini-gallery of sleek, inventive contemporary design, including some surprisingly reasonably priced classics, like Starck’s “Victoria Ghost” chair in ethereal Lucite ($294) and the intricate cut-paper “Midsummer” hanging lamp ($80) by Dutch designer Tord Boontje.
