Laundromat Express
Some people scoff at the idea of meeting that special someone in a Laundromat. Generally, it´s considered a dull, miserable place where the underprivileged go to wash their dirty rags. But plenty of ordinary working folks don´t have the luxury of in-home laundry facilities. Fortunately, there are places like Laundromat Express, a South Tampa coin laundry where patrons can nurse cold beers, eat burgers, play video games and watch movies or sports while washing their duds. Plus, it´s a great place to hook up because both women and men frequent the place. And a person´s laundry can tell you a lot. Is that hunk washing ladies´ lingerie? Are those diapers in that hot babe´s basket? Laundromat Express surpasses the usual coin laundry because it provides alcohol and entertainment, offering the opportunity to strike up a conversation with a complete stranger without the usual pre-rejection jitters. Express has two pool tables, a handful of arcade games — including Ms. Pac-Man — a television and a jukebox. And, as an added bonus, the noisy washers and dryers are located on one side and the bar on the other, encouraging a more meaningful exchange. Who knew doing laundry could be so rewarding?
