One of the funniest TV spots currently running, this variation on the old “Department of Redundancy Dept.” joke is distinguished by clever details (the two “Out” boxes, the double stapler), a spot-on script (“We started by beginning at 9 a.m. in the morning”) and impeccable comic timing on the part of the actors (love the nebbishy guy’s incredulous pause in “I’m not kidding — or joking, even”). The ad might even make me curious — or interested, even — in the bank’s DUO credit/debit card.
