Thanks to an always-evolving floor plan, even regulars have a hard time recognizing the inside of Duckweed’s new Tampa Street digs (their old location was CL’s “Best Little Grocery Store” of 2012). One constant is a little nook of chairs and tables flanking the Duck’s west windows. Waves of vitamin D flush through, providing lunch customers with warmth and nutrients, but the smartest Ducks come after the rush when the place clears out allowing for minimal sharing of the Hub-strong wifi and space to stretch out. Need a break from your laptop? Grab a beer from the back bar, then stick a few quarters into the vintage arcade machine. It’s a veritable working man’s oasis; just don’t tell too many people it exists.
