During the Stanley Cup finals, a Game 4 watch party scheduled for Curtis Hixon Park was canceled due to severe thunderstorms. During the heart-breaking Game 6 in Chicago, thunderstorms (and a tornado watch) nearly shut down the city — but, as Sports Illustrated put it, “within the walls of the United Center on Monday night, the Lightning never struck.”
