Ask folks on either side of the Bay which city — Tampa or St. Petersburg — has the better arts scene, and you’ll get plenty of disagreement. But when it comes to one-stop-shopping for a broad selection of visual art offerings, St. Pete’s Second Saturday Gallery Walk satisfies every time. On the — that’s right — second Saturday of each month, visitors can stroll around downtown St. Pete, from the Arts Center to Studio@620 to Florida Craftsmen Gallery and smaller venues in between and on the fringes — all clustered in a pedestrian-friendly 10-block rectangle. Galleries remain open late enough (9 p.m.) that there’s plenty of time to explore. Check out the latest exhibits, mingle with fellow art lovers and even grab a bite to eat — no car required.
