Talk about impressive. This Publix location gives new meaning to "grocery store wine." The wine section is lined with fancy wooden casements showing off labels like David Bruce, Erath, St. Francis and Lake Sonoma wineries. The selection is extensive and exceptionally well chosen, with enticing dirt-cheap supermarket prices. If you're looking for generic, they have that too, but if you read about a funky-sounding wine in this paper, chances are this Publix stocks it.
Publix, 200 37th Ave. N., St. Petersburg, 727-895-1670.
