An American television icon who pretty much invented the DIY home improvement show concept  is looking to sell his gigantic Florida estate.

Located at 690 Island Dr, in Palm Beach, the home was built in 1949 and belongs to Bob Vila, the host of popular shows like โ€œThis Old Houseโ€ and โ€œBob Vilaโ€™s Home Again.โ€

Designed by architect Marion Sims Wyeth, the 6,298-square-foot home sits on the affluent Everglade Island, and comes with 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. It also features original cypress paneling throughout the house, 175 feet of water frontage, a pool, a hot tub, a dock, and more.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Vila says him and his wife Diana Barrett plan to downsize to a smaller condo in the area, but noted that he’ll miss tinkering with the old place.

โ€œIn terms of doing little home improvements around here, thatโ€™s always part of the deal,โ€ said Vila to the publication. โ€œItโ€™s an older house, so thereโ€™s always something.โ€

The Vila home is currently asking $52,900,000, and the listing agent is Christopher Anthony Vila of PB Realty Advisors.
