It's time to party with the Dog. One "g," that is, as in the four-legged variety. The City of Tampa and the Humane Society of Tampa Bay are once again hosting Bark in the Park, a day's worth of fundraising and fun times for canines and humans alike. The event kicks off with a 1-mile fundraising walk, with the dogs collecting pledges from supporters and prizes going to top individuals and teams. Once the walk is done, the party begins. Run the obstacle course (not you, sir, your dog) or take part in canine contests for biggest, smallest, most like its owner, stupidest pet trick and fastest tail wagger, among other categories. The party also features fly ball and Frisbee catching demonstrations. 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Sat., March 17, Al Lopez Park, 4810 N. Himes Ave., Tampa, free, 813-876-4150.
