Fans of old TV sitcoms learned today that Meredith Baxter — Michael J. Fox's mom on Family Ties and the Bridget of Bridget Loves Bernie — has come to the "later-in-life recognition" that she's a lesbian. She made her declaration on The Today Show after the National Enquirer and the ever-lovely Perez Hilton spread the news that Baxter was looking a leetle too comfortable recently on a lesbian cruise.
Actually, the actress came out on her way to Today on Sirius OutQ — the satellite radio network's LGBT channel — in an interview on The Frank Show with Frank DeCaro and Doria Biddle. (That makes two days in a row that OutQ has made pop-cult headlines; yesterday on The Morning Jolt, glam rocker Adam Lambert talked about having been a fat-fat-fattie in high school.)
