There are only 8 more days to get out the vote, so Miami Democratic Congressman Kendrick Meek pulls out one of his trump cards today in the person of Bill Clinton, as the former President will stump with the once presumptive Democratic nominee for Senate today.
There will be three major rallies today, the first in Palm Beach County, then in Broward, and then finishing up at the Olympia Theatre in Miami tonight.
It comes a day after Meek and his opponent, Jeff Greene, debated for the final time before the August 24 showdown. We wish we could inform you of the highlights, but for that we can only provide links to other reporters stories, because to the best of our knowledge it was aired on in the South Florida market yesterday (We can inform you that we were informed by the Kendrick Meek camp yesterday at 12:59 p.m. yesterday that Kendrick Meek had "won" the debate. The source? An e-mail from the Meek campaign. Shortly we received a similar e-mail from the Greene campaign saying – surprise – that Jeff Greene was victorious.
Beth Reinhard in today's Miami Herald/St. Pete Times says that Greene was "more effective" in her review today.
