Twenty seven days into the job, Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn now has a chief of staff and chief financial officer to help his administration moving forward.

The Mayor announced this morning that Santiago Corrada, who worked under former Mayor Pam Iorio for seven years, would become his chief of staff, a major promotion for the city administrator, and that Sonya Little will be his new CFO.

For Corrada, it's another step up the inside city hall. He began working for the city in May of 2004, following a term as director of the city of Miami's Department of Parks and Recreation. He was hired by Pam Iorio to be neighborhood services administrator, and then received a promotion last year, when Iorio named him convention center, tourism, recreation and cultural arts administrator.

After the fiasco with Lex Salsbury and the Lowry Park Zoo back in 2008, Iorio named Corrada to the zoo's executive committee, one of numerous boards he served on while working under the former mayor.
