Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn says that the comparison that some made between InterBay Pool in South Tampa and Williams pool in east Tampa are not legitimate.
The mayor made many people in east Tampa happy when he told the St. Pete Times Wednesday evening that now that he knows the exact amount that it will cost to repair Williams pool, the city will now go about putting out bids for a contractor to do that work.
But it comes after portions of mainly black east Tampa felt that they were being neglected, by both the Iorio and Buckhorn administrations, after work was done earlier this year to repair InterBay pool in South Tampa.
Buckhorn tells CL that though the two pools were closed in the same year, their situations in terms of repairing them were quiet different.
