In honor of a new user-friendly digital product that aims to get people more politically engaged, the advertising and public relations firm CATECOMM, founded by Tampa area native Kevin Cate, sent a GoPro video camera up into the stratosphere.

The video, embedded below, is pretty friggin' cool.

The firm hopes stoking our undying fascination with the cosmos will help draw some attention to something that bores most of us: the political process.

A newly minted product of theirs called Rocket Lobby can not only tell anyone in the country who represents them in the state capital (which a lot of people don't actually know), but also give them lawmakers' contact information, including an email address and phone number.

While there are multiple sites on the internets that do this, Rocket Lobby is the only one by which you can rate lawmakers' responsiveness to your attempts to contact them.

The idea is to get more people engaged in politics, given that we're all too busy paying attention to the latest dumb thing Donald Trump or Hulk Hogan (same person, really) said instead of what lawmakers are saying and doing (or not doing) on our behalf in Tallahassee, which has a much more direct impact on our everyday lives.
