Normally, I'm gung ho about Halloween. But since moving to Florida from New York a couple of years ago, I've gotten downright lazy and neglectful of the holiday I once revered; I attribute it to missing the beautiful, chilly weather, brightly-colored leaves that actually aren't attached to palm trees, and that general Fall smell that seems to follow you wherever you go.
That said, naturally I'm only now, three days before the big day, thinking about what my costume should be, if I even bother. I'm inclined to throw on a plaid shirt, some Converse and a pair of cargo pants and go as a lesbian — also known as: a normal night out for me.
This got the wheels in my mind creaking, as I pondered what would be some good LGBT costume ideas. Here are a few I came up with — better late than never.
