Last year at WMNF's Annual Holiday Bazaar, I spent a little more than $20 and walked away with several hefty bags jam-packed with used books and CDs. I probably would have bought more, but maneuvering around the masses of other media seekers and scouring the huge assortment of boxes and stacks and racks had left me feeling pretty drained and I had to call it quits from sheer shopping exhaustion. This year, WMNF celebrates the 10-year anniversary of the bazaar, which began as a humble sale of superfluous LPs in the station's parking lot and now encompasses generous donations made by the entire community. I plan to arrive when the doors open to the public at 10 a.m. so I can get a head start perusing the goodies that are spread all throughout the many-floors of the Cuban Club, among them, LPs and CDs of all genres, books, electronic equipment (some of it vintage), and works and wares by local artists, crafters and retailers. All proceeds from the event benefit WMNF. Sat., Dec. 1, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (WMNF members admitted an hour early), 2010 Avenida República de Cuba, Ybor City, $3 admission, 813-238-8001.
