Former Florida Governor and possible future Congressman Charlie Crist sent out a campaign email Tuesday featuring holiday wishes and, as one might expect, a request for money.

The subject line for the email read "happy holidays," all in lower case.

Here's a screen grab of the body of the email:

It's a nice, non-religious note/fundraising effort that accepts the fact that there are multiple holidays this time of year, and it's okay that not everyone celebrates in the exact same way.

Good stuff, "donate" button aside.

So far, surprisingly, none of Crist's critics have commented on the lack of Jesusiness in the card; let's see how long that lasts.

Crist is running for Pinellas County's 13th Congressional District seat, which is being vacated by Republican Congressman David Jolly, who's now running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by presidential hopeful Marco Rubio (that is, when Jolly's not trying to get the V.A. to stop pretending veterans are dead).

Crist will face former Pentagon official Eric Lynn in a Democratic primary.

The only Republican to throw his name in so far is Mark Bircher, who lost to Jolly in a three-way 2013 special election primary, though there are rumors that former St. Pete Mayor Rick Baker might jump in.
