German metal ensemble The Ocean – which encompasses a rotating cast of about two-dozen members – bring their extreme cinematic sounds and accompanying visuals to Tampa. The band’s first American tour supports their latest release, Precambrian, a two-disc concept album about the early days of Earth, when the planet was a harsh, fiery and uninhabitable place. (Pitchfork gave it a hefty 8.3 stars.) Could be an interesting show, just not sure how everything and everyone is going to fit into the Brass Mug. Also appearing on the bill are Kylesa, Lair of the Minotaur, Flying Snakes, Empyrean and Legions. Mon., June 2, 8 p.m., 1441 E. Fletcher Ave., Tampa, 813-972-8152 (call for ticket prices).
