A special word of congratulations is due our fine neighbors to the south. According to this year's listing of "the 20 worst cities for treating the homeless" (as compiled by The National Coalition for the Homeless, and reported by CNN) Sarasota has placed FIRST! (Edging out the likes of Lawrence, Kan. and Little Rock, Ark. Tough competition, no doubt.)
A job well done Sarasota. Perhaps next year you can rise to the top of the "Worst Treatment of the Handicapped" rankings, and really make a splash nationally.
