Good morning, and for those of you saddened by the Texas Rangers defeat of the Tampa Bay Rays last night, to quote the late Bart Giammatti, the former Commissioner of MLB, speaking about the game of baseball in general, "It breaks your heart.  It is designed to break your heart."  Words I'll no doubt be employing after the Phillies deal with the SF Giants next week..

Okay, what's hot in the news.  Robert F. Kennedy Jr. comes out today to endorse Charlie Crist in the Senate race.  But he'll need more than the Kennedy's (including in-laws like Arnold Schwarzennegger) to catch up to Marco Rubio, who leads by 16% in a poll out this morning over the governor.

Speaking of polls, a Bloomberg survey that came out yesterday isn't as foreboding as others are in terms of the sheer carnage that might evolve in 20 days.  But its still good news for Republicans.

Rose Ferlita is coming out strong in announcing her fundraising numbers for the past three months in the race for Tampa mayor.

And we've been hearing for months from business leaders and Republicans about all of the "uncertainty" in Washington being the reason why businesses aren't hiring.  But a magazine columnist calls that poppycock. Check it out here.
