Moving Current Dance Collective embarks on its 11th season of innovative programming with "A Shared Evening of Contemporary Dance." The bill features athletic, versatile presentations by the 32-year-old St. Louis-based Modern American Dance Company, which is among the country's oldest modern ensembles. Seven MADCO members perform pieces by four choreographers, including Todd Weeks (MADCO's associate artistic director) and Janice Garrett (of San Francisco's Dance Magazine-approved Janice Garrett and Dancers). Another highlight is a solo piece choreographed by USF Dance Prof Lynn Wimmer and performed by guest contemporary dancer/Utah Valley University professor Angela Banchero-Kelleher. Moving Current choreographers/artistic directors Cynthia Hennessy and Erin Cardinal debut new pieces: Hennessy's is a solo work titled … with a history set to an original score by Seattle's Devin Rice while Cardinal's Playing Ground is a re-staging of a five-dancer work she created in '03.
