The third and final fall concert in Le Salon De Danse – a new modern dance series in St. Petersburg – showcases the expressive improvisational style of Miami-based choreographer/performer Heather Maloney, whose 2002 work, We Live in Rooms Inside of Rooms, was recognized as one of Miami’s top ten dance events by the Miami Herald: "Maloney has a delicious fluency and the ability to create a different reality on stage. Maloney has a strong inner arrow." For the salon, Maloney presents Fragile, an hour-long solo program that includes excerpts from Falling Up and a new work, Vertical Sprawl. In both, Maloney explores the idea of individual versus environment with live video and a projection featuring an original sound score by Juan Carlos Espinosa. Sat., Dec. 20, 7:30 p.m., The Studio@620, 620 First Ave. S., St. Pete, $15 general/$10 members, 727-895-6620.
