Last November, a group of forward-thinking Bay area artists, fashion designers and musicmakers got together with the idea of creating a hip, inspiring multimedia arts event. The resultant to-do, Dirty but Sophisticated, came off well enough that a handful of the artists involved formed a sort of co-op in the name of making Dirty but Sophisticated an ongoing series. The second installment looks to be at least as exciting as the first: More than a dozen visual artists working in everything from photography to printmaking will synergize with designers Jay Giroux and Raven Reda, while beloved Latin disco-funk block-party-starters The Spam Allstars headline an impressive bill of four bands and five DJs. Dirty but Sophisticated 2, Fri., April 14, 9 p.m., Czar, 1420 E. Seventh Ave., Ybor City, $10, 813-247-2664.
