With a name like Moving Current Dance Collective, it makes sense that Tampa Bay’s leading modern dance company should be frequently on the move, and this week is no exception. The Tampa-based troupe brings a program of “greatest hits” across the bay to St. Pete’s Palladium for performances on Friday night and Sunday afternoon. A chamber ensemble made up of five fine dancers (Erin Cardinal, Katie Cole, Brian Fidalgo, Shana Perkins & Kelly Rayl) perform an evening of repertory works from artistic directors Cardinal, Cole and Cynthia Hennessy as well as from guest choreographers who’ve worked with Moving Current in the past. Whichever “hit” they perform, audiences can count on seeing movement that’s full of intelligence, precision and grace.
