Do It This Weekend (besides the Fair): Seance for No One, Dali look-alikes, parade hoo-ha, animatronic dinos, Woofstock and more

If you’re looking for inspiration for the Dalí Museum’s Third Annual Dalí Look Alike Contest & Event, just ask yourself — WWDD? (That’s short for ‘What would Dalí do?’) On Friday, the wacky costume-cum-performance-art party invites visitors to step into Dalí’s shoes by crafting an outfit, behavior or other spectacular display that pays homage to the Catalan artist. (Dressing up like Dalí is fine, but the real challenge is to think surreally.) During the party, the museum’s galleries remain open late (until 8:30 p.m.) and free snacks and a cash bar fuel the revelry, which includes dancing on the ground floor. The best part? Your Dalí-inspired get-up scores you free admission, so if you haven’t visited the museum’s new building yet — for pity’s sake, throw on a fake moustache at least and get your tuchus to downtown St. Pete. The winner of the live look-alike contest nabs an annual membership and will be featured in a future advertisement for the Dalí. Entries to a video and photo division of the contest, which ended earlier this month, also go on view during the party. 6-9 p.m. Fri., Feb. 11; free for museum members, costumed guests and entrants in the photography/video contest, $10 for all others; Dalí Museum, One Dalí Blvd, St. Petersburg; 727-823-3767; thedali.org.—Contributed by Megan Voeller
