Like acoustic, down-home-'n'-gritty radio-friendly rock? Okay, Blues Hammer won't be playing, but you can expect a formidable lineup to perform for a worthy cause. Spend a little cash to help Rock by the Sea, a nonprofit organization an organization that raises money via music events in support of cancer treatment programs and charities that deliver direct help services. Performing will be four bands: Hightide Blues from Nashville; a singer-songwriter from Knoxville, Stephen Hunley; Dirty Shannon from Orlando, and local rock band Southside Serenade (pictured); plus, local artists will have work on display, and fashion show by Bikini Flavors. Silent Auction features artwork, hotel packages and signed items signed by Zac Brown Band, Collective Soul, Will Hoge, Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers, and Ingram Hill. $15 donation suggested. 6-11 p.m. Weds., Aug. 18.
