Recently, social media has been buzzing about the addition of a new housing development, Docked Living, offering fully furnished spaces for as low as $650 a month. What's the catch? Docked Living describes itself as "a luxury housing subscription designed for young professionals looking for a new way of living that redefines our current housing structure and is centered around connection, comfort, and convenience."
That means co-living spaces, people. Kind of like a college dorm situation, minus the bunkbeds.
The first launch of developments by Docked is called Docked at Habordale, which is within walking distance of downtown St. Pete. Residents share kitchens, living rooms and common spaces with other house members, while having private bedrooms with a private bathroom.
The lease, also known as the subscription, includes utilities, WiFi, bi-weekly cleaning, complimentary coffee, bathroom amenities, furniture, appliances, kitchen supplies and on-site laundry.
Subscriptions range from $650-$950, with a six-month minimum.
Free coffee? Now they’re speaking our language.
Just a heads-up: As of right now, there is a no-pet policy and Docked is only allowing one person per room, which means no couples.
Pretty ideal for those on a budget and wanting to link with fellow young professionals.
Want to see for yourself? Next Saturday, May 11, from 6:30-9 p.m., Docked will be hosting a Backyard Launch Party.
Here attendees can take a tour of the living quarters and meet the honorary house-members.
Docked at Jordyn Park is scheduled to launch this spring, with Docked Bed & Breakfast opening later this year.
