Recently, I became certified as a Permaculture Designer through the Permaculture Guild at Sacred Lands in St. Petersburg. My fellow Permaculture Design Certification graduates and I took a field trip to the Educational Concerns for Hunger Organization (ECHO) Farm to learn more about their urban farming practices. ECHO teaches third world countries how to develop sustainable farms and food systems at their headquarters and working farm in Fort Myers, Florida.
