An assortment of groups have been condemning bills passed by the Florida Legislature over the past month, and Governor Rick Scott's bill signing on Thursday has now codified those bills into law.

Amongst those grumbling the loudest are the state's environmental groups.

The Director of Advocacy for Audobon of Florida, Charles Lee, blasted away at the new budget, saying:

"I can only hope that Florida’s imperiled wildlife, polluted waterways and vanishing special places can hold-off another year without complete ruin. Florida’s magnificent natural resources and diversity of life have lured families and visitors here for centuries. This budget threatens our distinctly Floridian way of life.”
