The third installment of the annual Midtown summer camp photography project, Midtown: Through Our Eyes, had its student participants learning a variety of journalism skills and then taking these skills to the streets of Midtown. The St. Petersburg neighborhood was examined via field trips to places like Sweetbay Supermarket and Twigs & Leaves nursery, two newer businesses that have helped contribute to Midtown's urban revitalization; the historic Lincoln Cemetery; and the recently refurbished Manhattan Casino. The students recorded their views via words and images, and the resulting 100-photo exhibit is unveiled at The Studio@620 beginning 6 p.m. Fri., Oct. 6.
