Florida Attorney General and GOP gubernatorial candidate Bill McCollum was doing what all political candidates do on MLK Day – issuing out statements either in praise of or calling attention to an even they're at in honor of the slain civil rights leader.
But McCollum has a long record, certainly in Congress, where he spent 20 years of his life. One vote that definitely has to embarrass him was his vote against making King's birthday a federal holiday.
The Florida Democratic Party took notice, though. In a press release issued on Monday, the Dems issued a press release reminding reporters of that fact. You can read it here:
