It used to be Ted Kennedy. Then it was Hillary Clinton.
But ever since she ascended to becoming the first female Speaker of the House back in 2006, Nancy Pelosi has become the Democratic Bogeyman (or woman) that Republicans throughout the country feel secure about blasting. This was exemplified most recently by South Carolina's Mark Sanford, who apparently got some mileage in mock-debating a cardboard cutout of the San Francisco representative during his recent campaign for Congress against Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch (who avoided calls to debate the former governor, ultimately consenting to just one forum).
Now the Republican Party of Florida has announced what they are calling the Prevent Pelosi Project, with Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) Chairman Lenny Curry selecting the former Romney finance chairman in Florida, John Rood, to run.
