Smoke 'em while you got 'em.

No, seriously. The Florida senate has a committee looking at a bill about vaping indoors starting next week. Specifically, the bill — SB 7012 — would ban vaping in the workplace.

Not such a shocker; we — the voters — approved the related constitutional amendment in November.

The Senate Innovation, Industry and Technology Committee will consider this bill Feb. 5.

This bill won't be that different from the already-in-place law about smoking actual tobacco at your job, except, unlike with tobacco laws, cities and counties could place even more restrictions on vaping (they can't with regular-old-we-already-know-exactly-how-this-will-kill-us cigarettes and other tobacco products).

SB 7012 would also make it illegal for anyone under 18 to vape within 1,000 feet of schools.
